The Association of Medical Social Workers of the Philippines, Inc. (AMSWPI) is a nonstock, non-profit national professional organization composed of Medical Social Workers from government and private hospitals, as well as non-government organizations involved in healthcare. Our mission is to strengthen the commitment of Medical Social Workers through training, research, continuing education, and other opportunities to ensure quality health service to the clients we serve.
The Board of Directors of the Association of Medical Social Workers of the Philippines, Inc. (AMSWPI) is composed of experienced medical social workers from various hospitals and agencies across the Philippines, including government hospitals, where they serve in national healthcare institutions addressing health-related social issues and patient care. Local Government Units (LGUs) are also represented, with social workers involved in local health programs, tailoring their efforts to meet the unique needs of communities. Additionally, private hospitals are represented, with professionals from the private healthcare sector contributing valuable insights and strengthening collaboration across healthcare systems.
The officers of the organization serve a two-year term, after which new officers are elected during the National Convention. This process ensures dynamic and evolving leadership, reflecting the changing needs and priorities of the medical social work profession.
