The association is holding its 25TH Lecture Series on January 30-31, 2025, at DAPA Hall, Philippine Heart Center - Quezon City. This training’s theme is “Navigating Mental Health in Medical Settings: A Comprehensive Guide to the DSM-5 for Social Workers”. It aims to equip Medical Social Workers with the skills to accurately assess and identify mental health disorders using the DSM-5, facilitating the creation of effective care plans. It also enhances their ability to communicate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a shared understanding of patients' mental health. Due to the increasing number of reported mental health issues, the association is earnestly responding to helping medical social workers nationwide become more equipped in handling these kinds of cases.
